This is a crocodile conservation project run by World Bank in combination with Indian wildlife department. However, the area has been popular as a centre of robbers for a long time. But now it has converted into a beautiful safari where tourists also prefer to come to explore the natural beauty and wild creatures in their natural habitat. 

The area is full of lush green forest range where clean and calm Chambal River is flowing. Bateshwar, the famous pilgrimage having 101 temples on the bank of River Yamuna, is also a few kilometers from Chambal Safari. It is the famous pilgrimage in India where people from different parts come to worship Lord Shiva. From here, there is a famous Jain temple named Shauripur in the dense jungle. 

Jain followers or the followers of Mahavir Swami come here to worship Lord Mahavir Swami. Exploring this area is really an amazing experience that will keep you mesmerized for a long time. You will also experience the real rural area of India during your trip to this area. The area is in east area of Tajmahal and 60 kilometers from the headquarter of Agra.
